Ceiling Lithium, Canada
Ceiling Lithium Project Highlights
- The James Bay area is recognized as a world-class lithium-pegmatite district, hosting significant projects such as the Patriot Battery Metals Corvette Property, Alkem’s James Bay Deposit, and Nemaska’s Whabouchi Deposit.
- The Ceiling Lithium Project is believed to be located within an under-explored spodumene-bearing pegmatite trend in the Wemindji Greenstone Belt.
- The project covers over 5,000 hectares, forming a contiguous mineral property spanning a 25km strike-length of the Wemindji Greenstone Belt.
- The project’s location benefits from nearby road access to the Wemindji community and access to hydro power.
Rubix Resources Limited owns 100% of the Ceiling Lithium Project located in the renowned James Bay Region of Quebec, Canada. The 101 mineral property titles of the Ceiling Project are held by Rubix Resources’ Canadian-based subsidiary.
The James Bay Region is a world-class lithium-pegmatite district, home to major projects like the Patriot Battery Metals Corvette Property, Alkem’s James Bay Deposit, and Nemaska’s Whabouchi Deposit.
The Ceiling Lithium Project is situated within an under-explored spodumene-bearing pegmatite trend in the Wemindji Greenstone Belt. Covering over 5,000 hectares, the project forms a contiguous mineral property spanning a 25km strike-length of the Wemindji Greenstone Belt. A notable advantage of this location is its accessibility, with road access to the Wemindji community and available hydro power.
Geologically, the James Bay Region is a global lithium hub with significant discoveries like Alkem’s James Bay Deposit, Nemaska’s Whabouchi Deposit, and Patriot’s Corvette Property. The Ceiling Lithium Project, representing the eastern continuation of the Wemindji Greenstone Belt, is strategically surrounded by advanced lithium projects. It benefits from established infrastructure and is in the Archean-aged Superior Province of the Canadian Shield, known for its vast lithium resources.
Despite the region’s rich lithium deposits, it has seen limited modern exploration. DGRM identified the Ceiling Lithium Project as prospective for lithium, based on a review of pegmatite occurrences in favorable geologic contexts and the presence of indicator mineralogy for spodumene-bearing pegmatites.
The project spans over 50.5km² in the James Bay Region and is about 4.5km from the road leading to Wemindji, connecting to the Billy Diamond Highway (James Bay Road). To further the project, Rubix has partnered with Dahrouge Geological Consulting (DGC) for field and exploration expertise.
